WANTED

Pompa is wanted for a $12,000 Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on 8/12/19 for Calendar Call. On May 27, 2019 at about 6:30 p.m., the victim was sitting at a bus stop on Lumiaina Street near Paiwa Street. The victim was talking on her cell phone and had her purse lying next to her when an unknown male grabbed the purse and a struggle ensued. The male was able to wrestle the purse away from the victim and started to run away. A passerby saw what had happened and tackled the male. Police were notified and placed the male, later identified as Jose Pompa, under arrest for Theft in the Second Degree. Pompa has 2 prior convictions and is known to frequent the Waipahu area.
